Discover the charm of Pokémon Center Mega Tokyo! An in-depth review of the store's atmosphere and fulfillment!

Hello everyone! I would like to give a summary of the Pokémon Center Mega Tokyo & Pikachu Suites (Pokémon Center Ikebukuro).

Access

"Pokémon Center Mega Tokyo & Pikachu Suites" is located in Sunshine City, which is a commercial complex in the Ikebukuro area of Tokyo, Japan. The complex includes multiple buildings with various facilities such as a shopping center, an aquarium, a planetarium, a museum, a convention center, an office building, and a hotel. It is a popular tourist destination and a symbol of the Ikebukuro area.

The time required to reach Pokémon Center Mega Tokyo & Pikachu Suites from nearby stations is as follows:

It is a 3-minute walk from "Higashi Ikebukuro Station" on the Tokyo Metro Yurakucho Line.

It is an 8-minute walk from "Ikebukuro Station" on the JR Line, Tokyo Metro, Seibu Line, and Tobu Line.

It is approximately a 4-minute walk from Higashi Ikebukuro 4-chome stop on the Toden Arakawa Line.

If you are coming from Ikebukuro Station, you can follow the yellow signs for Sunshine City from the underground premises, or walk along Sunshine 60 Street from the Ikebukuro East Exit. See the detailed routes below.

Business Hours

The Pokémon Center Mega Tokyo & Pikachu Suites is open every day of the week from 10:00 to 20:00, in accordance with the business hours of Sunshine City ALPA. However, please note that there is a possibility of unexpected closures, so we recommend checking the official website or related social media pages in advance for any updates

Inside the store

Sunshine City, where the Pokémon Center Mega Tokyo is located, is one of the largest commercial facilities in Ikebukuro. As a result, the store itself is spacious, and it has several related facilities on the same floor, such as Pikachu Sweets, Pokémon GO Lab, and Pokémon Card Station, making it an enjoyable destination for most Pokémon lovers. Moreover, upon entering the store, I noticed a diverse range of customers, including families with children, couples, foreigners, and friends. The atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable even for solo visitors, so I highly recommend stopping by if you have the chance!

It was also renovated in March 2023. Mega Tokyo and Osaka have Myraidon and Koraidon objects, respectively, so it is recommended to stop by for photo purposes.

Products Lineup

At the Pokémon Center Mega Tokyo, visitors can find the latest game software (including digital downloads), toys for children, and a wide variety of popular Pokémon plush toys, such as Pikachu, Eevee, and Scarlet Violet Pokémon plushies. Additionally, the store offers a range of goods for adults, including stationery, tote bags, and accessories such as mugs and earrings. Lottery sales, card game tournaments, and other events are regularly held, so be sure to check the official website for the latest information.

In summary, I highly recommend visiting the Pokémon Center Mega Tokyo in Ikebukuro. While there are many other Pokémon centers and stores in Tokyo, this particular store stands out for its unique photo spots and easy access to other Pokémon-related stores on the same floor. The nearby Pokémon Center Shibuya may have a Nintendo goods store on the same floor, but it lacks the variety of Pokémon-related stores found in Ikebukuro. Moreover, Sunshine City, where the store is located, is one of the best commercial complexes in Ikebukuro, with an aquarium, restaurants, apparel stores, and more. Visitors can enjoy a fun-filled day at Sunshine City even after exploring the Pokémon Arcade. There are also many other large-scale stores nearby, such as the main branch of Animate, so make sure to check them out if you're interested!
